Taiga (also known as the Northwoods) is the world's largest land biome, and makes up 29% of the world's forest cover. The biome has coverage in Canada, Russia, Mongolia, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland and the United States. The largest covered areas of the Taiga are in Russia and Canada. The Taiga contains a mix of many different types of trees, varying on location.
